…that I have more new books! I had a productive (although too short!) weekend of bookbinding and am thrilled with the results. Lots are already up on Etsy, and a few others are heading to Campbell Steele:
I’m making a lot of wedding albums these days…which (for one reason or another) I didn’t anticipate, but love doing! As I start to do more and more letterpress work, I’d love to do fully designed and coordinated packages of paper-work, including invites, guest books, albums, thank you cards, and all of the other fun little gorgeous paper details that come up!
In addition to bookbinding, I’m also loving the work of the Eastern European printmakers my mom is showing at Campbell Steele. We are lucky enough to have no less than 4 of these beauties in our apartment and they are absolutely wonderful small etchings, each not only well draughted, but rendered with amazing detail.
I also still have a constant rotation of Walton Ford imagery running through my mind, and am midway through the late 19th century Mary Kingsley travelogue Travels in West Africa, on which he is supposedly basing a series of work. If you have the chance to see his work, jump on it!

Everything looks so great! I’m loving all of the new books (and ESPECIALLY) the letterpress cards. It’s good you’re producing so much right now because when this all blows up and the world realizes how awesome you are, you aren’t going to be able to keep up with the world load. (Maybe you’ll even have to hire an old friend to be your assistant!)
Thanks for the confidence, skb! I’ll keep your resume on file for the moment everything explodes!
I really enjoy doing the letterpress work and this most recent batch was definitely the most satisfying of any I’ve done so far. I’m anxious to find my own tabletop press, but I know that’s going to take a bit of concerted effort to search and then pounce on the best setup I can track down!
hey, i just found your website and im impressed, soo many beautifull work….im from estonia and bookmaking here is not so popular.
Thanks so much, Viki!
