For those of you wondering why I haven’t written much about my brand new (to me!) press yet…I’ll have it in about a week or so! It’s still being refurbished a bit (new rollers, etc.) and then it’ll be mine!
In the meantime, I’m still renting press time and printing frequently. This week, I got the plates for the first set of invitations I’m printing (these are for good friends), and I’ll do test runs of those next week, followed pretty quickly by the final printing, too! I also did another batch of blind debossed thank you cards using metal type, many of them for a custom order, although there are a few still here, and some up on Etsy!
Later in the week and over the weekend, I hope to have a new leather album or two to show off, as well as a few more small journals and printing projects. Things are moving quickly around here!
Finally, while my baby sister Willa comes home after nearly a year in France today, a couple of brief words from the original Willa to share:
“When we look back, the only things we cherish are those which in some way met our original want; the desire which formed in us in early youth, undirected, and of its own accord.”
- Willa Cather
