Give Artfully

That springiness is definitely still in the air and I can tell that sequential warm, sunny days are in the not too distant future! In the meantime, I’m just cooking along around here with new books and as many new ideas as I can come up with in between ongoing projects. I picked up some very fun new papers last week, while getting some pieces for custom work and am really happy with how the new bindings are looking!

This diamond stitched album is 8.75″ x 8.75″, with an oatmeal-colored Japanese silk bookcloth for the spine, stitching in soft green waxed linen thread, and a geometric pattern letterpress paper for the covers. It’s up on Etsy!

I also have work on a brand new site for handmade gifts, called Give Artfully. For a while, I’ve wished there was a registry function within Etsy, so that people could make wishlists as simply as you can when shopping online at Amazon. Give Artfully isn’t a part of Etsy, but does show a variety of handmade gifts across a number of media, and allows users to select their favorites to create their own online registry. For now, we have a selection of albums available through the site, and I hope to add a lot more soon, as well as new letterpress work! I highly recommend checking the site out and poking around a bit at a very nice collection of work!

It may be a quiet-ish week around here, blog-wise…I’ve got jury duty. Unfortunately, if today’s experience was any indication, it promises to make me pretty cranky.

Because it’s not worth it to be cranky, go read “A Small Moment” by Cornelius Eady instead.
