Bee Letterpress "Thank You" Card
in sunshine yellow and soft blue
I've always loved to draw, and spent some time recently creating a series of drawings based on 19th century natural history illustrations.
The tiny bee on this card is one of the results of the new drawings, and is centered above a sweet line of script reading, simply, "thank you". The bee is printed in a hand-mixed sunshine yellow ink, and "thank you" is printed in bright green.
Each card is letterpress printed by hand on my 1915 Golding Official No. 4 cast iron press. There is lots of soft white space around the message on the front of the card, and the inside of the card is blank.
This card is printed on pearl white 100% cotton Crane's Lettra paper and measures 5.5" wide x 4.25" high when folded. The card is packaged in biodegradable cellophane, with a matching kraft brown envelope.
